Description
This slimline, brushed aluminium style, under cabinet lighting system is neat, really neat. The lights have a low profile so are well suited for use under modern kitchen wall cabinets that do not have a pelmet to the underside.
This light is CCT switchable which allows changing of the colour temperature via a discreet switch on the side. Each light provides around 180 lumens of light supplementing the ambient light in the room and removing shadows in your work area. Suggesting spacing is around 50cm but the 120° wide beam angle means spacing further apart still works well.
Installation is made easy: remove the light cover, screw the rear housing into your mounting surface, and replace the cover. Each light has two leads; one in and one out making it easy to daisy chain your installation without having to wire each light back to the LED driver.
These lights have low running costs and give a long operating life of an average of 35,000 hours.
The driver you require is determined by how you want the lights to operate. WE have grouped the options below.
On/off via standard wall switch or spur (non-dimmable)
Simple enough, switch the lights on via a wall switch or fused spur.
Sensor Operated Drivers with Local Switches and Sensors
These drivers allow you to operate the lights by sensors. Maintain hygiene levels in the kitchen by incorporating this sensor into your lighting scheme. Opening a cupboard, pressing a small switch, moving around or swiping your hand will switch the lights on (and with the swipe, allowing you to dim the lights too). All sensors can be drilled into the carcase or clipped in place with the bracket supplied.
Dimmable via rotary wall switch (trailing or leading edge)
If you want to dim the lights via a wall dimmer switch you will need a specific driver for that purpose, The dimmer switch needs to use leading edge or trailing edge technology (some phase-cut and triac dimmers may not work).
Lastly, do not forget to match the load to the power supply. These lights are 3 watts – multiply 3 watts by the quantity to get the total load.
